    The Halloween Events

    Halloween Costume Parade

Put on your spookiest and silliest costumes for Hendersonville's only Halloween Costume Parade! The parade will begin at 11:00 AM on Thompson Plaza.

    Costume Contest

If you want to participate in the parade and/or enter the costume contest, please come to Thompson Plaza at 10:45 AM. Costume judging by special judges will take place during the parade! Results will be announced following the parade. Special prizes will be awarded to the winners.

Trick or Treating at the Streets

During the Halloween Family Festival, children will have the opportunity to fill up their candy bags while trick or treating around the stores at the Streets of Indian Lake.

    Balloon Tribute

At Noon, we will pause to take a moment to pay tribute to those whose lives have been affected by cancer. A card will be attached to each balloon with a special tribute to a cancer survivor or in memory to those we have lost to cancer. The card asks those that find the balloon to go to our website and tell us where the balloon was found. Get your balloon by making a donation before or during the Hank Thompson Trek and Treat. Please join us in this special tribute!

    "SPOOKtacular Science" Show

Join us for Mr. Bond’s SPOOKtacular science-themed show, which will amaze and entertain audiences of all ages. Find out how he makes water disappear or turns it into snow in an instant! Mr. Bond will perform experiments involving explosions, bubbling potions, chemical reactions and lie detectors. You might just be one of the lucky audience members to help Mr. Bond with one of his COOL concoctions!

    Mr. Bond's "SPOOKtacular Science" Booth

In addition to Mr. Bond’s Science Show, he will have a booth set up during the Trek and Treat where every participant is guaranteed a hand’s on experience with the Science Guy and his SPOOKY crew! Kids can learn how to make some Halloween tricks or treats, such as slime, bouncy balls, dry ice or sweet cotton candy. Mr. Bond has been a favorite at the Nashville Zoo as well as schools, libraries and summer camps across the great state of Tennessee for over 10 years.
